TIGER RUN DHAKA 2026
TIGER RUN DHAKA 2026
The Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world, spans both India and Bangladesh. It is home to the iconic and endangered Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris). Mangroves play a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance of this region, providing habitat for tigers and other wildlife, protecting coastal areas from erosion, and supporting local livelihoods through fisheries and ecotourism. However, the Sundarbans face significant threats from deforestation, climate change, and rising sea levels, which jeopardize the survival of tigers and the overall ecosystem.
TIGER RUN DHAKA 2026 will increase awareness of the need to preserve the Sundarbans Forest for future generations by hosting an event that highlights how the forest can support community-based tourism and adventure activities and create revenue without harming it.
